Delete your account
You can delete your Readi Ready account at any time. There are two ways: directly in the app, or by email if you've already uninstalled the app or can't sign in. Both go through the same process.
1. In the app
- Sign in to the Readi Ready app (or at readiready.com).
- Open Settings (the gear icon, top right).
- Scroll to Delete account → Delete my account.
- Review what will be deleted and re-enter your password to confirm.
Deleting a parent account also deletes the child profiles created under it. The screen lists exactly which child profiles and recordings will go, so please check before confirming.
2. By email, without the app
If you've uninstalled the app or can't sign in, email contact@readiready.com with the subject "Account deletion request" and the email address you signed up with. To verify it's you, please send it from that same address; we may reply with a confirmation email. We'll let you know the outcome within 3 business days.
3. Accounts created by an academy or school
Accounts created for you by an academy or institution (roster import, academy invitation) are managed by that institution. In the app, the same place shows a "Request deletion from academy" button instead; the request goes to the academy's administrators and the Readi Ready team. An email request is forwarded the same way.
4. The 7-day grace period
For accounts you can delete yourself (parent accounts and self-registered learner accounts), requesting deletion disables the account immediately and it is permanently erased after 7 days. In case of a mistake, signing in during those 7 days and pressing "Restore my account" brings the account and all its data back intact. After 7 days it cannot be recovered. Accounts managed by an academy or school (section 3) stay usable until the institution acts on the request; the grace period starts when the institution carries out the deletion.
5. What is deleted and what is kept
